Brandon Slazyk (Registered Dental Hygienist)
I grew up in New Kent County and attended Longwood College where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. I then went to ODU and received a second Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene. I have been a practicing dental hygienist for 15 years. I try my best to treat patients the way I would want to be treated. My favorite part of my job is helping others and helping my coworkers. Dr. Stanovick is hard working, energetic, positive, and very appreciative of his patients and staff. Our team is made up of jokesters, singers, dancers, story tellers, talented athletes, and so on and so forth. We always try to have a good time and not take life too seriously. My family members include my husband, Brian, my dog, and my cat. I love any outdoor activity, especially running, biking, hiking, and kayaking. I also like traveling to familiar and unfamiliar places, cooking, and experimenting with new dishes.
Leigh White (Registered Dental Hygienist)
I grew up just down the road in Chesapeake, graduating from Hickory High school, and started my college education at Longwood College. I transferred to Old Dominion University and received a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene in 2004. After graduating, I moved to Richmond and knew I was in the right place to start my career as a dental hygienist. I began working for Dr. Stanovick in 2006 and immediately noticed how much he cared for his patients and treated them like family. Dr. Stanovick is very patient and gentle which allows his patients to feel calm and relaxed during their appointments. My family keeps me busy when I am not at the office. My husband and I have two very fun and active boys that love to do anything that requires them to be outside. We also have two sweet older dogs, a lab mix and a basset hound, that help keep our boys busy playing outside. As a family, we enjoy going to the Richmond Squirrels games, local festivals and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys during football season!
Kellyn (Registered Dental Hygienist)
I attended Bridgewater College and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. From there I went to North Carolina for Hygiene School and graduated in 2010. I have been working with Dr. Stanovick since the late 1990s. I started out sterilizing instruments, chart filing, working the front desk and dental assisting. I knew I wanted to stay in the dental field so I pursued dental hygiene. Since Dr. Stanovick was my first dental job, I always knew I wanted to come back and work for him again. What I admire about him is he is so empathic, compassionate and has energy that is never ending. I have always enjoyed our patients as well. I enjoy getting to know people on a personal level.
Amanda (Insurance/Billing Coordinator)
I have happily been a long time patient of Dr. Stanovick’s. After spending the last ten years at home raising my two wonderful sons, William and Davis. I made a decision to return to work. I was welcomed by smiling faces that were professional, fun loving and kind. The individual care this amazing practice provides is a priority to us all. Dr. Stanovick makes everyone feel comfortable, educated about their oral health and goes above and beyond to bring beautiful smiles to everyone’s faces. I love my job! When I am not at work I enjoy spending time with my boys, family and friends for long days at the beach in Hatteras, NC.
Rebecca Fields (Dental Assistant)
After graduating from Lee Davis High School in 2014 I attended Virginia Tech for two years were I studied biology. This past year, 2016, I transferred to Virginia Commonwealth University as a double major in pre-dental hygiene and health sciences, in the hope that this upcoming school year I will be accepted into the VCU dental hygiene school and graduate in 2019 with a bachelors in Dental Hygiene. Even though school keeps me very busy any time I have to myself I love spending it in the office with Dr. Stanovick and the team. I admire everyone in this office for his or her love and compassion they have for their job and their patients. Dr. Stanovick is humble and compassionate both as a dentist and as a friend; I am lucky to call myself an employee of Dr. Paul
Brittany Lowery (Dental Assistant)
I knew at a young age that I wanted to be in the dental field. I completed two years in the dental assistant course at the Chesterfield County Technical Center. I have been a dental assistant for 6 years, and I could not imagine doing anything else! I hit the jackpot when I started working for Dr. Stanovick. He treats all of his patients like family, and he loves giving them beautiful smiles. In my free time, my fiancé and I enjoy playing with our two dogs: Marley, a black lab, and Khloe, a dachshund. We also enjoy biking, fishing, and hanging out with friends.
Lindsay Walker (Dental Assistant)
My obsession with teeth started at an early age – I literally used to beg my two older brothers to let me be the first one in the dental chair. I am passionate about helping others and making people smile. I am very proud of the fact that I went directly from high school into dental assisting. Receiving on-the-job training from some of the best in the field has given me over 10 years of experience. I completed my X-ray certification through J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College, and over the years, I have completed many, many hours of continuing education courses. I love working with Dr. Stanovick and his team. From the very first time I entered our warm and cozy office, I have felt at home. All of the staff here share the same enthusiasm of giving patients a beautiful and healthy smile. I am truly blessed to be able to go to work every day and love my job and the people I work with. In my free time, you can find me playing with my two-year-old Hunt Terrier, Pistol. My boyfriend, Brandon, and I enjoy fishing, riding four-wheelers, cooking, and watching movies together.
