Meet The Doctors

Paul R. Stanovick, DDS
The best part of my job is seeing patients get motivated to better their oral health. For the past 30 years, I have enjoyed changing people’s dental phobias to dental positives; it’s rewarding to have the ability to make people comfortable in an otherwise stressful situation. I have the ability to impact people’s health, and I get to do this in an environment that makes people comfortable. Our patients are very loyal and caring people – they come to appointments with a smile on their face, and are truly interested in maintaining proper oral care. Our staff works well as a team, and you can tell by the smiles and camaraderie that they care about our patients and each other. This team is the most caring, compassionate team I’ve ever worked with, making it a pleasure to come into work every morning!
Education and Experience
I went to Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) to pursue my undergraduate degree in chemistry. I then went on to the VCU School of Dentistry (MCV) to obtain my Doctorate of Dental Surgery. In addition, I make sure to stay on top of ongoing continuing education because of the new breakthroughs in dentistry every day. This is an exciting time to be in the dental field as computers and technology have forever changed the course of dentistry. New techniques, products, and accessibility have all made dentistry a challenging and exciting career. In 2004, I moved to the dental office I’d spent 20 years dreaming about – a peaceful, tranquil, rural setting located right on my farm. It was the best move I’ve ever made, not only for a convenient location but it also allowed me to put my passions for design and building to use. The office has also become an area to display my artwork and love of landscaping as the day lilies provide the grounds with an explosion of color every June!
Personal Life
When not in the office I spend many hours enjoying nature. As an avid photographer many hours are spent off the beaten path catching that perfect light for a sunrise or sunset photograph. I am also a mixed-media sculptor utilizing metal, wire, rock, and wood to create sculptures in and around the office. Joining me in this mixed-media art endeavor is my son, Brant.Dentistry runs in the family as both my wife, Debbie, and daughter, Kellyn, are dental hygienists, my son has just entered the practice, and my sister is a dentist; it is a well-represented field in the Stanovick family.
Brant Stanovick, DDS
A native to the area, I graduated from Lee Davis High School then attended Virginia Tech with a Bachelors in Biology and a minor in Entomology. After that I attended Virginia Commonwealth University school of Dentistry. Outside of the office I enjoy spending time outdoors, tinkering with mechanical devices, and fishing. The enjoyment of working with people is what drew me to dentistry, I look forward to serving the community and the surrounding areas.

Keeping Ahead of COVID-19

Providing a safe environment for treatment and control for infectious disease is always a priority at Paul Stanovick DDS. Our expansive reception area and large outdoor deck provides space to easily support regulations surrounding social distancing. The treatment rooms provide an extra layer of protection as they are sanitized between each patient and provide clean air through air purifiers located in each room. You will see some changes during your next appointment as we have added precautions to protect patients and staff. You will be asked to enter the building with use of facial protection and asked to wear it until you are in the treatment room. Hand sanitizer is also available throughout the whole building for your use. You may notice that our magazine and children’s books have been removed from the reception area as they are harder to disinfect. We have installed plexiglass around our front reception area for added distancing between front staff and patients waiting for appointments. Air purifiers have been placed in every operatory with two larger purifiers in the front and back of the office. We have provided face shields, lab jackets and barrier gowns for all clinical staff. Our hours of operation will still remain Monday -Friday 8am-5pm. We are looking forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about treatment and the safety precautions we are taking here at the practice. If you would like to make an appointment you can give us a call or text 804.781.1919. Thank you for your patience during these changing times and for your trust in us with taking care of your dental needs. Sincerely, Dr. Paul Stanovick, Dr. Brant Stanovick, and Staff.
